We help companies do the pre-work to see what their different stakeholders (regulators, customers, financial institutions, etc.) require, identify what is actually material & relevant for them to report and help them gather the environmental data to disclose.
Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG)
SMEs in supply chains often get many individual ESG data requests from their large customers, This is time, energy and financially consuming for SMEs, when in reality many of the disclosures require the same data, just worded and formatted differently.
Lasaju (in partnership with Thoughts in Gear) supported Capital Markets Malaysia to develop the SEDG, which condenses these requirements into one simple guide. Many large companies have already "adopted" the SEDG and are using it as a standard framework for their supply chain.
As part of the SEDG, we also developed a simplified Scope 1 & 2 GHG Calculator for SMEs to get a good first estimate of their emissions.
SEDG GHG Emissions Calculator
Following the adoption of the SEDG, it became clear that many Malaysian SMEs still found calculating their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and intensity too challenging to do on their own.
Lasaju hence supported Capital Market Malaysia to develop a simplified Scope 1 & 2 GHG Calculator that is free for all to use, but only includes select, sector agnostic activities under Scope 1 Stationary & Mobile Combustion and Scope 2 Electricity Consumption.
